Disable group policy client service windows

How to disable group policy client service on windows operating system?

There are several step which help to disable group policy client service on Microsoft Windows operating system. We have seen that in domain environment all the policy applied through Microsoft Windows Server but some time we don't want to apply group policy on some user in that case we have option one is that we'll have to delegate permission for that user and other second option having to disable group policy service from client operating system. Hope this is helpful to all of you and easy way to do these process. 




Method 1

Step1:- Click on window button.


Step2:- Type services.msc then press Enter.



Step3:- See Group Policy Client and Right click on that then change into disable.


Method 2

Step 1: Click on Window button


Step 2: Type regedit.exe then press Enter



Step 3: Go to HKEY_LCOAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\services\gpsvc
             Then double click on start (REG_DWORD).


Step 4: Change the Value data into 2  and then press ok.


Method 3

Step 1: Click on Window button


Step 2: Type msconfig.msc then press Enter.


Step 3: Click on Service Tab then uncheck on Group Policy Client. 


Step 4: Click on Exit without restart.

  1. I used Method 3 because the first 2 didn't do anything. Had to reinstall Windows 10 and this issue came up.
